Chapter
Twelve

that You pour out Your Spirit on all flesh.
Your sons and Your daughters prophesy.

A Messenger of the Lord
It was Friday morning
Mass at Holy Family Church. Having received the host, the beloved
body of Christ, I reached for the wine, His precious blood, handed
to me by the woman just ahead in line.
Her smile was radiant
with joy and peace. Never in my wildest imagination could I have

other side of the room one person had remained to pray. Drawn by
my music, she approached and I saw that it was the woman with the
beautiful smile.

hours passed quickly as we shared our inner selves, moving from
the chapel to a nearby restaurant.
At 1:00 p.m., holding hands over coffee, she said a prayer
of healing for my ex-husband. We felt a power surge through us.
Later that day
I called him and asked, “What were you doing at one o’clock?”
“Funny you
should ask. I was just getting ready for lunch when there was this
huge bolt of lightening outside my office window. Then in the lunchroom
the whole building seemed to vibrate. It must have been quite a
storm!”
