Chapter Fourteen

I waited patiently for the Lord. He bent down to me and heard my cry.

He drew me up from the horrible pit, out of the miry clay.

He set my feet on a rock. He directed my steps.

Psalm 40:1-2

Yours

Give me a word Lord, I pray

To comfort and guide me today.

Show me what You want of me.

Say just who You’ll have me be.

I have given all to You.

Now what will You have me do?

I’m so empty, that’s for sure.

Show me how I can endure

The pain of all this loneliness.

Now I feel Your precious kiss!

You are lifting up my soul.

Oh, my God, You are so bold!

Now You carry me away

And fill my hungry heart this day.

I feel Your spirit and just let go.

Consumed with passion, how I glow.

Is this real? How can I tell?

You make me whole, I feel so well.

You fill me up and strengthen me.

By Your side is where I’ll be.

I’m Yours for all eternity!
