A New Look at Pain

After the natural birth of my daughter in 1964, I came to look upon childbirth as the ultimate orgasm, the culmination of my sexuality.

In the years that followed I had occasion to experience many kinds of pain, and began to feel like an expert in harnessing the power of pain for personal growth.

Those who thrive on self-pity will most certainly reject my conclusions at first hearing. But truth has a way of subtly entering the hearts and minds of good people and gently taking root.

I am a seeker of truth. How long have I prayed for understanding and wisdom.

Life has a purpose. We are here to learn and progress. Our ultimate goal is perfection. This is part of the supreme scheme.

Earth is a refinery for the purification of our souls.

Perfection is oneness with God.

Once we are able to look on pain as perhaps a stern, but loving teacher, we can channel the same energy we now use to fight pain into learning our lessons. Then we will pass from glory to glory, and discover a peace and harmony beyond imagination.
