Chapter
Seven
I love my neighbor as myself.
Mark 12:31
Black and White
Oh man, what a dark and dreary night
When you discovered black and white.
We’re all God’s children in His sight,
But man found a reason to hate and to fight.
We come in many colors, shapes, and sizes.
We’re brothers and sisters ‘til man realizes
A way to believe “I’m better than you.”
Just focus on color and distort the view.
How can we see that God’s inside
When we are blinded by racial pride?
God commands that we love our fellow woman and man.
When we shut someone out it’s ourselves that we
damn.
Regardless of country, religion or race,
Open your heart. Put a smile on your face
And begin right now to love the whole human family.
That’s the only way we can really be free.
To hate anyone will imprison your soul.
So love everyone. Make that your goal.
Ask guidance from above to help understand
The “love thy neighbor as thyself” command.
To do good to others will return good to you.
Delight in diversity! Love will come through.
The world would be dull if we were all the same.
Vive la difference!
