Introduction
The
words I speak to you,
they are spirit and they are life.
John 6:63
Confessing the Blessings
Did you know that there are more than 32,000 blessings in the Holy
Bible? Now I haven’t counted them for myself, but the ones
I have already experienced are exceedingly, abundantly more than
I could ever think or imagine.
Our words have power. The most powerful words we can speak come
from the Word of God. When we speak these words, making them personal
and present tense, we are confessing the blessings.
Scripture, in its original language as received from Spirit, that
is, inspired, is flowing and poetic. Unfortunately, translations
are often awkward and clumsy by comparison to the original text,
not allowing the ideas to be easily integrated into our minds, hearts
and souls. This explains why the Holy Bible is so difficult to understand.
The text has been robbed of its original beauty and form.
The Scriptures on each page of this book are written in the form
of personal blessing here and now. As you read these words, these
same blessings become a part of your life in the form of spiritual
nourishment.
The
psalms, or sacred poems in this book have all been received by divine
revelation rather than being made up by my human mind. Their contents
are in harmony with existing Scripture. Their rhythms have a similar
effect to music. They convey the truth that makes us free, bringing
peace and harmony into our very beings.
